The Learner Hub is your central dashboard for tracking progress, identifying important actions, preparing for gateway, and quickly accessing the tools you need throughout your apprenticeship.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to understand your Learner Hub, respond to priority alerts, check your progress, monitor gateway readiness, complete review actions, and access support.

🛠 Step-by-step guide
1️⃣ Log in
Navigate to My Portfolio and log in using your email address and password.
Once logged in, you will be taken directly to your Learner Hub.
2️⃣ Review your top insights and priorities
Check the top of the Learner Hub for important alerts and recommended actions.
These might include:
- Being behind with your off-the-job training hours
- Not having a gateway meeting booked
- An overdue progress review
- Attendance below the expected level
- Course activities that need your attention
3️⃣ Act on flagged items
Each priority is designed to help you take action quickly. Click the relevant action button, such as Book it now, to go directly to the page where you can resolve the issue.
💡 Top tip: Deal with priority alerts as soon as they appear. This will help you stay on track and prevent small issues from becoming bigger problems.
4️⃣ Review your key metrics
The main cards on your dashboard give you a quick overview of your current apprenticeship progress.
📅 Next progress review
Check the date of your next review and make sure it has been booked.
👥 Attendance
Review your attendance percentage. Your target is at least 90%.
⏱ Off-the-job training
Compare the percentage of off-the-job training you have completed with the percentage of time that has passed on your programme.
📚 Course progress
This shows your progress based on course activities and responses that have been completed and approved.
5️⃣ Check your gateway readiness
The Gateway Readiness section helps you understand whether you are preparing successfully for the final stage of your apprenticeship.
Review the following five areas:
- Your gateway meeting is booked
- Your progress reviews are up to date
- Your KSB or competency coverage is at least 80%
- Your attendance is on track
- Your off-the-job training hours are at least 80% complete
🎯 Your aim: Work towards completing all gateway readiness requirements before your planned gateway date.
6️⃣ Review your KSB and off-the-job progress
Check the percentage of your knowledge, skills and behaviours that have been covered. You should also compare your completed off-the-job percentage against the expected pace for this point in your apprenticeship.
If either figure is lower than expected, speak to your Development Coach and agree the actions needed to catch up.
7️⃣ Use the quick actions
The quick-action buttons allow you to complete important tasks without searching through the wider platform.
You can use them to:
- Book a progress review
- Add off-the-job training hours
- Upload portfolio or competency evidence
- Message your Development Coach
8️⃣ Review actions from your last progress review
Check the actions agreed during your most recent progress review.
As you complete each action, tick it off in the Learner Hub. This helps you and your Development Coach track what has been completed and what still requires attention.
9️⃣ Access support
If you are unsure how to use any part of the Learner Hub:
- Visit the Wiki in My Portfolio
- Raise a technical support ticket
- Contact your Development Coach

- Respond quickly to flagged priorities
- Keep your progress review actions updated
- Log off-the-job hours as soon as possible after completing activities
- Raise any incorrect information with your Development Coach
- Use the Gateway Readiness section to prepare early
