Are You Ready for Gateway?
✅ Are You Ready for Gateway?
Gateway is your final checkpoint before End-Point Assessment. This guide helps you check whether you are ready.
📌 What you’ll learn
How to check your learning, submissions, OTJ, portfolio, workplace progress, and confidence before Gateway.
🧠 What does “ready” mean?
Being ready for Gateway means you, your employer, and your Development Coach agree that you have completed your apprenticeship training and are ready to move into End-Point Assessment.
It is not just about finishing lessons. You also need to show that you can apply your knowledge, skills, and behaviours confidently in your role.
📝 Gateway readiness checklist
☑️ Learning completed
You have completed the planned learning activities for your apprenticeship.
☑️ Submissions passed
Your required assignments, tasks, and evidence have been submitted and approved.
☑️ OTJ completed and logged
You have completed your planned off-the-job training and logged it properly in MyPortfolio.
☑️ Portfolio evidence ready
Your portfolio shows strong evidence of your knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
☑️ Workplace confidence

⚠️ Not ready yet? That is okay. Use your next progress review to agree clear actions with your Development Coach and employer.
