Human Resource apprenticeship

Level 5 Human Resource Apprenticeship

Our Level 5 Human Resource Apprenticeship is 18 months with 3 months EPA. This could be closer to 18 months total if the apprentice has previously completed the Level 3 apprenticeship. Apprentices donā€™t need to have done a level 3 to complete the apprenticeship.

To support the growth of dynamic HR professionals, City Skills provides high-quality, flexible HR training and development opportunities accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Furthermore, the HR Consultant Apprenticeship Level 5 equips learners to offer human resources (HR) expertise within a company or organisation.

An HR Consultant apprentice can use their HR expertise to lead the delivery of HR solutions to business challenges, together with providing tailored advice on a range of topics in a number of HR areas.

Optional routes

This L5 Human Resource apprenticeship can support a generalist role, whereas learners in a specialist role focus on and have in-depth expertise in a specific area of HR, typically in resourcing, reward, organisation development, or HR operations.

Armed with their newfound skills, an HR Consultant/business partner will frequently need to make decisions and offer recommendations regarding what the business can or should do in a specific situation. They will influence the decisions of senior leaders as well as bring best practices into the organisation. They are also likely to lead the people related elements of business or HR projects.

As an HR Consultant, the apprentice will spend time understanding the business they work in. Linking their learning to business priorities and becoming a bridge between the company and people. Helping all to reach their full potential. As part of their apprenticeship they will complete their level 5 Diploma In people management with City Skills before entering gateway.

Ideal for:
  • HR Consultant
  • HR Business Partner
  • HR Advisor
Entry requirements

Employers set their own entry requirements which may include a Level 3 Human Resources qualification.
